Bobby Stone Film Series Virtual Cinema
When: Now
Where: West Village and The Tivoli Theatre (Virtual On-Demand)
Cost: Costs Vary - Rental available to stream for 30 days with 72 hours to finish once started
I love the Tivoli Theatre - classic theater architecture, with neon lights above the entrance and a formal(-ish) vibe, can't go wrong - and we like to visit as often as possible, especially during the Bobby Stone Film Series. When the pandemic closed everything down, I was bummed to miss the live showings and regretted the theater's lost revenue. So it was great to hear the announcement that, with help from West Village, the series would stream to my home, where I can watch the movies I love while supporting one of my favorite Chattanooga Venues. The film list features To the Stars, RGB, Life Itself, The Ghost of Peter Sellers, Blackfish and many more. Take a look at The Tivoli Theatre website.

Live Stream from the Quarantine: Locals Only - Katrina Barclay
When: June 3 / 8:00 PM
Where: The Signal (Live Stream)
Cost: FREE
While The Signal music venue remains closed during the pandemic, they have kept the music coming with their Live Stream from the Quarantine music series on Facebook Live. The events are free and donations are welcome to support their staff and local artists. This stream features local musician Katrina Barclay. Here's an excerpt about Katrina from The Signal Facebook Page:
Katrina Barclay’s voice is known to captivate an audience. Josh Pickard of NOOGAtoday writes, "...it's the absolute sense of earnestness and plainspoken emotion that comes through, giving each song a ragged but sympathetic appearance." Guitar riffs influenced by alternative rock and blues lend an edge that cuts gently into preconceptions. Although Katrina was raised on gospel bluegrass in Bryant, AL her music comes from a resounding need to be vulnerable through writing songs about life and its beauty and struggles. A decade of performing and recording brought her to the stage of The Bluebird Café in Nashville, TN in 2019 upon winning a statewide songwriting competition in Chattanooga. She is a director on the board of the Chattanooga Songwriters Association. Katrina’s debut LP “Element” was recorded and produced by Rome’s Austen Earp and released in 2016.
